Our primary goal in life should be to be content with what we have, yet we should always possess this desire to learn, contribute, and become more.
‘It’s a delicate balance between this idea of being content and fulfilling your potential.
When it comes to having a beautiful body that you are proud of.
You know, one that looks feels and performs its best.
The work is something you can never run from, and ‘it’s something that you have to embrace.
To make progress in areas of your life that are important to you, you have to have a compelling reason to start, and that clarity needs to be connected to, and you have to be a constant student ‘that’s always wanting to learn more.
I think the reason people choose not to put in the work when it comes having a beautiful body is that they either feel like they do not have the energy to start or sustain or they feel like they do not have the time.
When it comes to energy, ‘it’s essential to start with routine lab work to rule out any health concerns.
Once that comes back clean, ‘it’s time to look at what you can do differently.
95% of peoples energy concerns are because they do not eat well, get enough sleep, and they do not know how to manage stress.
We know that eating a healthy balanced diet can give your body the nutrients it needs to function optimally and for some people can literally save their life (think Celiac or someone with a real dairy or peanut allergy).
We also know that exercise releases feel-good chemicals that can help us lose the most intense stress and most importantly if appropriately done, it can help us sleep like a baby. Which is where the magic happens!
When it comes to feeling like you do not have the time, it’s true you ‘don’t have the time because you ‘haven’t yet created it. Which means you have not prioritized yourself.
Certain things need to be nonnegotiable. You taking care of yourself, that needs to be nonnegotiable.
The one tip that I can give you and is the whole point of this entire post today.
Is to slow down and own the moment.
‘You’re probably thinking, well how in the hell do I do that?
Its very simple!
‘Let’s start with slowing down.
This means come to a physical stop, get rid of all of your technology expect for the old stuff…
Pen & Paper.
I want you to write out where you want to be physically in the next 12 months.
Ask yourself the following 6 questions.
- How do you want to feel?
- How do you want to look?
- How do you want to perform?
- How are you going to eat?
- How are you going to get more active?
- How are you going to prioritize your sleep?
You could even mind map this. Which means start with your name on a piece of paper, draw a circle around it and have three branches off of it with feel, look, and perform and you jot down a list of things that are important to you.
Owning The Moment requires you to identify behaviors you want to do change and then own the moment by changing them.
I hope this stuff helps you, and if you need help implementing, please reach out.
