If you like most people, you think that the way you lose weight is by eating less and working out more.
While it’s true that you need to eat less and move more, we have to make sure the gap between our workouts and our ability to recovery doesn’t get too big.
When you workout and diet you stress your body.
Your body responds to stress by losing weight.
This is all well and good until you get greedy.
If the gap of stress and recovery gets too BIG, it leads to burnout.
Which means you no longer have the energy to workout or do much of anything.
A lot of times this is a person’s starting point when they come to see us.
RECOVERY IS KING:
Your body needs bouts of stress followed by episodes of recovery to make long term, sustainable progress.
What is the point of dieting and losing a bunch of weight if all it does comes back in three months?
How do you know if you need more stress or need more recovery?
ARE YOU A TEACUP OR A STALLION?
Some people (we all know them and are envious of them) can do whatever they want, and they still look great.
You know the ones….
They stay out all night partying, get up super early, hit the gym and eat like crap.
They are stallions.
Other people (more normal people) can eat, and workout and they feel like they make minimal progress.
They are Tea Cups.
After working with hundreds of local people, we have noticed that when people workout and eat well they do so in the extremes.
They eat nothing but salad and chicken breasts and do a bunch of cardio and eventually burn out.
When we work with people, we produce results by making sure they do not over exercise and under eat.
We created a secret method that helps us do this.
Exercise has so many amazing benefits, but if it is misused, it can do more harm than good.
The same goes for nutrition.
If you are new to working out or are currently trying everything and still not seeing progress.
